Cybersecurity has been growing importance year over year and the past year was no different. Now that Vitaliy Panych has been officially named the CISO for the State of California, it is a good time to touch base and hear firsthand of the challenges and plans for his office. Panych is a veteran of state government, having started his career in June 2003 as a network engineer at the state’s Teale Data Center. He has spent time at the Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, a role he held for three years until moving to CDT in January 2019.
Join with your colleagues and Techwire as we catch up with CISO Panych in a 30-minute Q&A featuring a quick look back and a longer look forward with the person who is planning to expand the capabilities of the California Cybersecurity Integration Center and to help ensure the state is prepared for the cybersecurity challenges to come.
