Subbarao Mupparaju is the Chief Information Officer and Deputy Director of the Information Technology Division at the Department of Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal). Subbarao has over 26 years of IT experience with increasing responsibilities for leading and supporting a broad range of information systems, IT and business transformation projects, IT operations, and enterprise architecture programs in government, retail, finance, and insurance industries. Subbarao has a Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and various technical certifications. He is a recipient of the California CIO of the Year award, HP Most Valuable People (MVP) award, and IBM Hundred Percent Club award for his leadership and team building skills.
