The Center for Digital Education is hosting a Research Roundtable event in Philadelphia, PA and we hope that you can join us.

IT leaders from Pennsylvania districts will be on-hand for a special briefing on their technology plans, priorities and focus for the coming years. Parkland School District is working to align classroom environments with real-world environments by infusing 21st century skills through the use of technology. Pennridge School District is committed to supporting its students, teachers and parents in developing 21st century skills in a world dominated by technology. The Upper Dublin School District believes in effective technology integration that is routine, transparent and supports curricular goals.

The participants will be briefing the audience on district plans in a variety of topic areas, including computing infrastructure, mobile devices, digital content and curriculum, professional development, cyber security and their plans to incorporate blended learning models.

This event will allow participants to:
• Hear directly from CIOs and technology leaders from area school districts
• Network with fellow industry leaders in the region
• Learn about the hot issues in the education IT market

Beth Breiner

Coordinator of Educational Technology, Parkland School District

Beth Breiner is coordinator of educational technology at Parkland School District, located in Lehigh County, PA. A graduate of East Stroudsburg University (B.S.), Western Kentucky University (M.A.) and DeSales University (Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate), Breiner is also a Google Certified Teacher. Over the past two years, Parkland School District has embarked on multiple technology initiatives, including a BYOD program, establishing a blended learning program, enhancing the content and delivery of professional development and establishing a Microsoft certification program for students. She has been instrumental in the development of each of these programs and looks forward to progressing with the district focus on expanding the blended learning program, enhancing the professional development program to include online options and moving to digital content.
