Government Technology's passion is helping spread best practices and spurring innovation in the public sector. The Pennsylvania Digital Government Summit is designed to do just that. The summit has an advisory board that gathers public sector and private sector leaders to create an agenda that is relevant and actionable to the state and local government organizations attending the summit. Participants tell us they use the inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, networking breaks, and timely topics discussed in the numerous breakout sessions to help advance the goals of their organizations and their own career paths
Topics Include:
Gifford Pinchot said something like ‘questions should always be answered from the standpoint of the greatest good of the greatest number in the long run’. Events like the 15th annual PA Digital Government Summit help the business stakeholder, supplier and information technology community establish, expand and enhance the business relationships that deliver greater good to the citizens of the Commonwealth. Jointly we can identify the ideas and opportunities that align decisions, commitment and execution. Please plan on registering and attending.

Opening KeynoteCarlisle/York RoomWhat’s Your Story?Kelly Swanson, Strategic Narrative Specialist IT is an adventure. Or should be! Every project is a journey, and we need to be better at promoting what we’re doing and how much we’re accomplishing. It’s important to be able to paint a picture that resonates. Data alone is not enough anymore. It’s already over-used, mis-used, abused and fake-newsed. The key is wrapping your data in a way that makes people care. You need the secret ingredient that is probably missing from presentations, pitches, speeches and any situation where you are trying to get buy-in. In this mind-expanding session, you will find out how to go from manipulating to motivating, from communicating to connecting, from telling people what to do to making them want to do it. Learn from the master! |

KeynoteCarlisle/York RoomCyber Threat LandscapeStacey Wright, Director of Partnerships at MS-ISAC/EI-ISAC, former Director of Cyber Intelligence How many times have you heard the line about the bad guys only have to be right once, but we have to be right 100% of the time? But perfection isn’t possible – we know that. Cybersecurity is about risk mitigation. So instead of focusing on the impossible, we can use cyber threat intelligence to mitigate the risk so our bad days are few, far between, and buried on page 20 instead of a front page headline.
