Counties are the bedrock of local government, responsible for delivering essential services such as public safety, infrastructure, health care and economic development while coordinating with state and federal agencies to address community needs. If you aren’t keeping up with what they are doing to drive progress, you are missing out on opportunities to build relationships and establish partnerships which will empower counties to support their departments and offices, address local challenges, and improve the lives of their residents.
Travis County contains the state’s capital, Austin. A tech community at heart, the county’s Information Technology Services department aspires to be as innovative with its services as the residents it serves. It continues to invest in collaborative projects, working across teams and departments to enable a safer, more modern, and reliable county. Neighboring Williamson County has seen rapid growth from Austin’s northward expansion. Its Technology Services department partners with the award-winning Purchasing department to source proven and cost-effective technology solutions to best serve the needs of the County. Technology Services continuously works to identify, evaluate, implement, and support solutions for all offices and departments for the benefit of the citizens.
Industry Insider – Texas members are invited to attend this in-person exclusive briefing with Travis County’s Director of Information Technology, Ralph Warren, and Williamson County’s Chief Information Officer, Richard Semple, to hear firsthand about their strategic IT priorities, current initiatives and long-term goals.
