Government Technology’s passion is helping spread best practices and spurring innovation in the public sector. The Indiana Digital Government Summit is designed to do just that. The summit has an advisory board that gathers public sector and private sector leaders to create an agenda designed to make that passion relevant and actionable to the state and local government organizations attending the summit. Participants tell us they use inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, networking breaks, and timely topics discussed in the numerous breakout sessions to help advance the goals of their organizations and their own career paths.
Topics Include:
The Indiana Digital Government Summit is a fantastic place to meet with professionals in different departments and levels of government. Though the scope of work that we deal with may be different, the challenges are generally the same. Each year, I enjoy the opportunity to hear from others in government on how they are tackling and solving problems using technology, and in the process helping Hoosiers. The keynote speakers are fantastic, and I leave with a renewed energy and commitment to public service. I hope to see you there!

Keynote – How to Break Your Personal Speed LimitsClark/DawsonLyn St. James, Motivational Speaker & Professional Auto Racer (@LynStJames) Everyone is going somewhere, but why does it always seem to take longer than we want, and why do we often get lost or distracted along the way? Lyn St. James has the need for speed, and she found her passion behind the wheel of a race car; not necessarily a fast race car in the beginning (Ford Pinto) but it set her on the road to success. After learning how to win in the Pinto, she climbed the ranks of amateur then professional racing all the way to the top...the Indianapolis 500! Accelerate with Lyn as she shares the life lessons she’s learned through her journey as a race car driver. Find your passion; believe in yourself; motivate others; make a declaration (more than a commitment); have a strategy but be willing to adjust it; learn to communicate with a team; get results then be sure to share them; learn from failure – it will happen; and be dedicated to preparation, just to name a few. Lyn’s life has been an incredible journey, from secretary and piano teacher, to Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year! Hang on and be ready to put the pedal to the metal and break your personal speed limits! |
