Scott Klososky

Technologist, Futurist, Humanist, Author and Consultant

As a founding partner of digital strategy firm, Future Point of View (FPOV), Scott lives on the leading edge of technology and innovative thinking. Scott speaks to large audiences worldwide about the intersection of humanity and the Digital Transformation. Through FPOV, Scott provides advisory work for clients including Fortune100, SMB’s and government entities. This work has driven him to develop unique concepts such as the HUMALOGY® Scale for measuring the amount of human or machine involved in a system or process, and the Rivers of Information® process for building learning eco-systems. He also pioneered a framework for looking accurately into the future of an industry sector in order to set organizational strategy: The High Beam process.
Scott co-founded Alkami Technology (ALKT), the developer of a second-generation online banking platform with innovative features non-existent in current systems. The company went public in 2021 at a $3billion valuation and is today headquartered in Dallas with over 350 employees.
Scott is recognized globally for his unique ability to accurately predict future digital trends and explain the logic behind why these will alter the current status quo of the economy and society. While business application of his insights is extremely valuable to leaders and companies, he is also motivated help improve the impact post Covid environments are having on people and their daily lives. Technology has been increasingly driving change and stress and recent events are amplifying this problem. He has a unique perspective on how to manage the personal toll technology is causing people, teams and organizations.
Even as a young child, Scott was destined to see the world through a Humalogy® lens. His father was a programmer for Boeing and his mother was a counselor who mixed many philosophies into her practice of helping people in life. To this day, he is a hybrid of a technologist and humanist who strives to find a hopeful future in blending the two.
Scott has the ability to entertain, inspire, and enlighten audiences, while helping them gain new perspectives about how technology is impacting us. Scott never does a canned presentation with the exact content across events. He sets himself apart from other speakers by architecting his content with the latest examples, current events and trends relevant for the keynote he is delivering.
He is equally adept at giving large stage keynotes, speaking to small boards of directors, facilitating half and full day workshops, and doing break-out sessions. As an added bonus of his presentations, attendees come away learning how to be a better facilitator, speaker or presenter by seeing Scott use different applications and technologies to engage audiences either in a virtual, hybrid or in person setting. The best measure of his ability to inspire and inform audiences is the high percentage of speaking clients who bring him back for follow up work with their audiences.

Rosaella Branson is a highly experienced data professional with over 15 years of experience in managing, analyzing, and reporting on data for a variety of organizations. As the current Chief Data Officer at Cook County Bureau of Technology, she is responsible for leading the organization's enterprise data management and analytics initiatives.
Previously, Rosaella held several leadership positions, including Manager of Data Science and Insights at Chicago Public Schools, where she managed the internal analytic and research strategy and public data reporting for CPS Central Office. She has managed the data governance initiatives at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and youth development program quality evaluation and outcomes measurement at the YMCA of the USA National Office. Rosaella also served as a Data Operations Manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Headquarters, where she helped to establish the process and infrastructure for standardized national data collection of member level data and outcomes reporting to communicate the collective impact of the organization.
Rosaella holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Howard University, and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has volunteered as a Troop Leader and Council Committee Member with the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana for over 10 years, as a mentor in various youth development programs, and in other leadership and community service roles.

Mr. Coffing was a Finalist for the 2023 ChicagoCIO ORBIE CISO of the Year Award and was a Semi-finalist for the 2022 Chicago CISO of the Year Award.

Prior to joining AWS Jayson served as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Cincinnati where he led the city’s enterprise technology department, chaired the city’s IT Governance Board, and managed the city’s capital budget and project approval processes. Jayson also has a background in public safety technology having served as a county 911 and Emergency Communications Director, as well as experience in the private sector as a Business Analysis Manager responsible for technology contracts and procurements totaling $350 million in annually.

Eve Jennings is the Data Services Lead for the City of Chicago. She oversees an experienced team tasked with data analytics, GIS, business intelligence, data accessibility and transparency, database administration, and a portfolio of custom applications. She began her careers as a technologist working in GIS, quickly expanding into database management and then data analytics. She eventually managed the City’s first data analytics team, housed in the Office of Budget and Management, before shifting to enterprise-wide leadership. Currently, she is responsible for drafting and implementing the data strategy for the City of Chicago, focusing on areas such as data quality and accessibility, data and platform governance, and AI guidelines. Her work is driven by a desire to make it easier for City employees and everyday Chicagoans to get the information and services they need, as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

Jonathan Levy is the manager of the City of Chicago’s Open Data Program, most prominently expressed through its Data Portal. He has a BS (Biology) and MS (Public Policy) from Carnegie Mellon University and work towards an uncompleted PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. He worked for the Cook County and City of Chicago health or public health departments, as well as for the UIC School of Public Health, for many years before moving into open data in 2011 and taking on management of the program in 2013.

Data Scientist, City of Chicago 

Gene Leynes joined the City of Chicago’s Department of Technology and Innovation in 2014 as a Data Scientist with a background in entrepreneurship and data science consulting. In his new role as an Enterprise Architect, he is also serving as the AI Lead for the City of Chicago. His AI/ML journey began in 2007 while earning his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. At the City he went on to develop nationally recognized smart city initiatives focused on efficiency and improving resident outcomes in areas such as food safety, West Nile Virus vector forecasting, and childhood lead exposure prevention.
Following the recent advances in Generative AI, Gene has been working to convene voices from a wider community to inform AI policy by incorporating diverse perspectives and emerging best practices. Recently his work has focused on contributions to the Policy Working Group of the GovAI coalition, which is a national coalition of local governments organized through the San Jose Office of Technology. In March 2024 the coalition published a series of templates aimed to promote responsible and value-based governance to maximize resident outcomes and opportunities.

Across his career, Lynch led the acquisition and successful implementation of three ERP systems and two Time & Attendance systems. Lynch holds a B.A. in Political Science from Purdue University and an M.P.A. in Finance from the University of Delaware, in addition to a variety of professional certifications.

Irvin as the first-ever Chief Information Officer for the City of Aurora, Illinois in June 2017.   Michael began his career working in various IT Support roles for AT&T and PepsiCo in the Greater Chicago Area. Michael has worked for the US Department of Defense as a civilian Automation Management Officer at the US Army Logistical Readiness Canter in Vicenza, Italy. In addition, Michael has held various senior IT positions in Hewlett-Packard France, Vodafone Hungary and Morgan Stanley in Budapest, Hungary and New York, New York.  Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from DeVry University and an Master of Business Administration (MBA) Global Executive Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from Central European University Business School in Vienna and Budapest. Michael is a proud United States Army veteran.

Charles “Chuck” Ruehling is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Cook County, Illinois. He came to Cook County in 2018 from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at Goddard Space Flight Center where he worked as the Cyber Threat Analyst and Certification and Authorization Official. Prior to that, he was the Cyber Security Program Manager for the Office of Environmental Management at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Washington DC.
Chuck retired from the U.S. Army in April of 2011 and after a brief time as a contractor working for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) he started Federal Service for DOE. During his time in the Military, he served in numerous positions as a Telecommunications Systems Engineer at Fort Bragg, NC, Seoul, South Korea and culminating in an assignment with the Information Assurance Directorate at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade, MD.
Chuck has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional since 2008.

At Cook County Hema is utilizing her extensive experience to modernize IT Infrastructure, enable cloud migration and disaster recovery/business continuity, build the architecture team and governance,  lead generative AI roadmap development and implement AI solutions and manage IT operations. 
Previously, Hema was the CIO and VP of Technology at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). She worked on modernizing transit applications and IT infrastructure at the CTA and aligned IT strategy with the modernization goals of the company. 
Prior to joining the CTA team, Hema built a career serving Chicago residents as part of the technology department at the City of Chicago. She functioned in various roles and collaborated with all City departments, building IT strategy and implementing innovative programs.  
Hema is continuing this collaborative spirit in her current role by working with Cook County offices on technology initiatives to better serve residents. Hema has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
