CDE AGENDA 051018 Banner

Overview

Large school districts face unique challenges as they integrate technology. This gathering creates an opportunity for attendees to hear from peers, learn from industry participants and discover best practices to share and implement in their own districts.

CIOs, CTOs and directors of academics from the nation’s largest K-12 school districts are invited to spend one and a half days together discussing topics suggested by participants in advance of the event. CIOs and CTOs from districts with 30,000 students or more come together to participate in roundtable conversations around relevant edtech and IT topics. The agenda includes ample time to network.

The Summit is produced by the Center for Digital Education, a national research and advisory institute specializing in K-12 education technology trends, policy and funding. The Center presents this event, in collaboration with CoSN, to support networking and help establish partnerships among the education leadership community. We are happy to host our 2018 event with the Omaha Public Schools.

This is an invitation-only event.

Tour Omaha Public School’s Mobile Learning Unit

Omaha Public School’s Mobile Learning Unit was created to address issues of digital equity in the North Omaha area. Anchored on a powerful district vision and community partnerships, this innovative initiative targets high poverty neighborhoods and schools. The goal is to use a whole-community approach to bring high-technology learning and digital citizenship skills to students and their families. The district wants more than merely high-quality internet access and devices for families. They want to build the knowledge and skills necessary to address the complex community challenges in today’s digital age.
