Featured Speaker – Leading in a Time of TransformationGrand Ballroom A/BEd Toner, Chief Information Officer, State of Nebraska Technology has reached the point where it can support just about anything that anyone wants to do, but the toughest challenge for a government organization is to embrace the process of reinventing itself. Nebraska is doing just that. A little over a year ago, State CIO Ed Toner launched a statewide “hybrid” IT model that many said could never be done. He’s proving them wrong. The transformation is proceeding at a record pace and remarkably pain-free. Arkansas will soon be traveling a similar road and can learn from Nebraska’s successes and lessons. In this session, Ed shares his personal insights into how and why leadership is the key - for each of us – to successful transformation in government. |
