Public Safety Communications - The New Frontier

The Maine State Communications Network (MSCommNet) project will deliver a hybrid of technology to meet a higher standard for public safety radio communications in Maine. The State's first responder community will have a modernized system in place by January 1, 2013. While the State moves forward with new digital radio technology, interoperability with county and local agencies that are invested in analog technologies will be retained. This session will provide an overview of this initiative and is intended for anyone who is interested in improved public safety radio communications in Maine.
