Special Districts Summit East

Jul 20, 2017
Detroit, MI

Across the country, there are over 38,000 special-purpose government entities referred to as Special Districts. Each serves a vital community need such as water or sanitation to essential facilities like roads and mass transit, parks, and much more. This year, Government Technology and AT&T have joined forces to launch an entirely new initiative focused specifically on the business and IT needs of special district government agencies.  The Special Districts Summit East is the first in a series of four events around the country.  Drawing from the recommendations of a national advisory board and the latest research from the Center for Digital Government, the agenda delivered relevant and actionable content to all regional participants. We know you want inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, networking breaks, and timely topics to help advance the goals of your organizations and career paths.
Topics include:
        • The Future of Special Districts
        • Innovation and Leadership
        • Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations
        • Mobility
        • Next Generation Customer Service
        • Making a Business Cases for Emerging Technologies
        • Open Government and Citizen Engagement
With content designed for both the business and technology sides of the organization, this event will focus on how special districts can seize the opportunities that new technologies bring to transform the way you do business and build a more customer-focused, efficient and effective organization for your citizen customers.
